Grow Your Practice - Series 1

This is a well-rounded class open to students of all levels. This class will incorporate breath awareness to bring your mind to an internal focus. We build strength and flexibility through the 

practice of classical yoga postures. We come to a place of stillness during conscious relaxation - all in right amounts for a well rounded yoga experience.

Get ready to get super expansive in this intermediate level , creative yoga practice exploring the element of ether, or space - that encompasses all elements. This class will focus on working on the qualities of all elements in a creative flow,  leaving you feel balanced and expanded. flowing through Skandasana, chamtkarasana/ wildthing building into Funky headstand.

J|Day 12 - Creative Vinyasa Flow - Funky Headstand

In this intermediate level class, we will go with the flow - working with the water element to bring flexibility to your life focusing on poses targeting the pelvis - strengthen and relax your hips, release tension, and become more flexible and fluid. Peaking in Bird of Paradise/ Swarga Dwijasana.

J|Day 11 - Water Flow - Bird of Paradise

Rejuvenate, restore and relax deeply in this Yin yoga practice, guided by Vinay. Yin yoga is a powerful practice for healing connective tissue in the body, promoting flexibility, releasing tension and healing the nervous system. This Particular class is focused around the hips to release tension around the hips.

J|Day 10 - Yin for Supple Hips - Total Hip Release

An intermediate level, earthy flow practice to focus on rooting down and grounding yourself. Find a sense of stability and security, and improve your balance with this class. We awaken the Earth element by building connection with standing balancing poses and grounding the entire body by supporting the spine in supine poses. flowing through warrior 3, revolving Half moon and other standing asanas.

This Air Element Flow class is all about freeing the front of our body for back bends. The focus will be on creating space in our shoulders, opening the chest and releasing the hip flexors to bring in expansiveness.

Explore the depth of your practice with the recorded classes from my August Immersion. This 12 class pass is the perfect opportunity to learn and develop your yoga practice as a way of life rather than something you do once in a while. I am passionate about uplifting my students and creating space for them to discharge and reset. My aim is to help students tune into themselves and to cultivate greater awareness of their themselves on and off the mat. I love to move freely and creatively and challenge students physically. I teach a strong practice but it still has grace and is set at a mindful pace. I aim to create a safe space so students can let go of their stuff, connect to their breath and to ‘just be’ with themselves. My intention is for students to leave feeling uplifted, grounded and more present.

Day 13

We work into the hips with lots of juicy hip circles whilst deepening and expanding the breath.

Day 12 : Wings

We open through the pecks and chest whilst infusing a sense of positivity into the entire body.

Day 11 : Positivity

We focus on forwards folds and deep lunges and encouraging the mind and body to let go.

Day 10 : Let Go

We invite a sense of fluidity into the body as we open the hips and upper back. Becoming less rigid and more fluid in life is such a valuable lesson; one I am continuously reminding myself!

Day 9 : Fluidity

We focus on opening up the hamstrings, cultivating lots of love, and patience as we work into this muscle group.

Day 8 : Patience

We work on opening up the side body throughout the flow, whilst connecting back to our centre.

Day 7 : Centering

We focus on opening the quads and the hip flexor muscles in a variety of ways, whilst attuning to the body and breath.

Day 6 : Attune

We invite elevated emotions and thoughts into our begin. We focus on opening the front and back of the heart, moving through Anahatasana, sphinx, dolphin and finishing with bridge.

Day 5 : Elevate

We connect to the expansiveness of our breath in constructive rest pose. We begin with thread the needle and then move through a short standing flow including high lunch, warrior 2 and reserve warrior. We finish with square and a forwards fold, Pachimottanasana.

Day 4 : Expansion

We start with a short breath practice to shift our perspective, before moving through full body circles, half sun salutes, and side body lengthening.

Day 3 : Perspective

We move through twists, cat cow and spinal waves to open up the body. Bringing our attention to breath and sensation.

Day 2 : Attention

We open up through the chest and shoulders with lots of arm circles and spinal waves. We move through low lunges to work into the hips and a forwards fold to stretch out the hamstrings.

A restorative practice to help your nervous system to let go and unwind. Until you do these practices it’s hard to know what it’s like to really let go and expel excess energy. It’s extremely nourishing for our modern day nervous systems that very much need this. This practice is a gift to your nervous system and great to do if you’re struggling to slow down or let go of something. Restorative 40 : Deep Release

A moment to tune in. It feels so good to be slow and bring our full awareness to the moment at hand; to all sensations, pulsing, life it's self. As we follow the breath and shift our awareness around the body this practice will help you step back from your thoughts and to shift your perspective. Yin 30 : Tuning in

We begin this practice in dangle inviting the mind to soften and surrender. We draw our awareness to the body, sensation and the present moment. As we move through child’s pose, reclaimed twist, butterfly, dragonfly and yin inversions we invite a spherical awareness (Samanta) of the entire moment at hand. As always yin is an opportunity to be slow and to soothe our nervous system. I teach my yin classes with a meditative focus so it can be great to do before a meditation or after a practice if you don’t feel like meditating. Yin 45 : Spherical Awareness

A mindful and restorative practice to help you release from your day and discharge your nervous system. We surrender the mind and attune to the vibration and subtle sensations in the body. When we move slowly and bring our awareness to our internal make up we start to quieten the noise in and around us and strengthen our ability to be in the moment at hand. Move as slowly as you like, the slower the better! We start on our back in a reclined twist, move to child’s pose, legs up the wall, snail and finish with Savasana. Restorative 20 : Evening Bliss

With our fast pace lives we often over look the space between. It’s easier for us to focus on manifested reality rather than the invisible. This is an opportunity to slow down and observe the space between each breath and attune to this magnetic place. As you step away from this practice see if you can begin to observe the space between two trees, two people, you and your friend, between your thoughts, between two magnets and the list goes on… over time this place becomes very dynamic. We focus on opening through the thoracic with fish pose and melting heart pose and lengthening through the side body with twist. This is a lovely restorative yin practice great for anytime of day. Yin 45 : The In-between

A range of flow practices from vinyasa, mandala, ladder flows, slow flow and power yoga.

Vinyasa : 20, 30 & 45 minute practices

A gentle and slow practice tuning into the heart space and settling the mind. We move in a mandala style around the mat working with arm circles to open the chest and shoulders. We move through low lunge, ninja squat and pigeon pose to work into the hips. Enjoy x

Gentle Mandala : Fullness of Heart

This is a continuous flow; one movement, one breath. We start in a rag doll sensing into self and surrendering to the shape. We move mindfully around the mat connecting to the fullness of our breath. Notice how you’re breathing, how you’re moving and see if you can find an even rhythm that suits you. A short creative practice but affective.

Mandala 20 : Drop In

A steady flow giving you time to really enjoy the stretch, as we work through spine articulation and hamstring openings. We attune to Samana Vayu a current of energy that moves from our centre out into our limbs. When we move with awareness of the Vayu’s it’s a way to cultivate a more subtle and refined awareness. We finish with an inversion, headstand or legs in the air (depending on what your body needs), before Savasana. To flow to music head to  my Spotify Jessica Baccanello (under my married name).

Vinyasa 30 : Shape Shift

A continuous flow opening the shoulders and upper back, as we attune to the stillness of the mind, and invite our awareness to penetrate the body. We begin with full body arm circles, puppy pose and dancing cobra to lubricate the shoulders and upper back. Most of the practice is standing as we flow through high lunges, low lunges, wild things, humble warrior and standing splits. There are options to play with forearm balance and handstand if you’re in the mood for balancing. We complete the practice with bridge and / or full wheel. Vinyasa 45 : Essence Within

We move fairly quickly in this practice starting with 5 Sun Salute A’s followed by 3 B’s. The familiarity of the sun salutes help us to focus the mind and refine our awareness. We move through a short standing sequence to follow and finish with a very short meditation. If you’re feeling quite energised and want to boost your energy and invigorate the mind this practice will do that!

20 Power : Invigorate

A strong  practice that will invigorate you and boost your day. We start standing encouraging a full body breath that we come back to throughout. We move through a variation of sun salutes to warm up the body followed by a sequence with a fair amount of twists. We play with bunny hops and dolphin / Pincha. A great practice to do anytime of day.

Vinyasa 30 : Boost Your Day

A powerful flow with a focus on the core. We invite humour into the mind to keep it light, to keep it joyful. Sometimes things can get a little too serious when working the core! There are no inversions or over complicated poses. It’s an open level practice but not suitable for beginners.

Power 45: Core Flow

A fluid moving practice unwinding the body as we move through twists, body waves and open through the chest. We drop our awareness into the heart space and invite heart felt emotions of love, joy and abundance into the body. This is a lovely gentle sequence with lots of stretching and moving to help our nervous system unwind and be nourished. The practice is dynamic at times but there are no chataurangas or inversions.

Flow 30 : Unwinding

Expect a dynamic vinyasa flow with a focus on opening and mobilising the shoulders. We work with some functional range conditioning to help the shoulders feel lighter and more free. We open up through the pecks, under the shoulder blades and side body with different arm variations. Most of the flow is standing including lunges, humble warrior, eagle pose and triangle. We also work with belly backbends mainly bow pose, Dhanurasana. This practice is great for shoulders that suffer from being at a desk a lot. My shoulders love this practice I can do it over and over again.

Vinyasa 30 : Shoulder Tune Up

A dynamic vinyasa practice with a focus on opening the quads and hip flexor muscles. Both very important muscles groups to work into as many of us suffer from shortened hip flexors due to sitting down a lot. It’s also a great practice for those that cycle and run a lot. Expect lots of quad stretching, active and passive hip flexor stretching and dynamic standing poses. We end the practice with saddle pose so you may want to prop yourself up with pillows, a bloster or blocks.

Vinyasa 30 : Quads & Hip Flexors

If you haven’t got much time and maybe feeling a little low on energy but you want to tune in and connect this is the perfect practice. This flow will help to up lift your energy as you move through body waves, hip circles, gentle twits and a series of standing poses. There are no Chaturangas or vinyasas unless you wish to add them. This practice will fill you up and nourish you.

Flow 20 : Nourishing Flow

A strong open level flow that works into the entire body with a focus on opening up the quads, thoracic spine and hip flexors. I love to do this practice in the morning as it ticks all the boxes and invigorates the mind and body. The flow warms up the body well with twists, deep lunges and backbends so you can finish the practice with full wheel, if you wish.

Vinyasa 30 : Wake Up Flow

A challenging flow that gets you moving right away. Expect lots of plank variations, pistol squats, boat pose (Navasana) and arm balancing options. If you need a speedy reset in your day it will get your heart pumping and blood circulating helping you feel refreshed. If you have the time do a 10 minute meditation following this practice.

Power 20 : Reset

We move around the mat in a mandala style 3 times building the flow each time. As you become familiar with where the practice is going see if you can tune into a more meditative state and loose yourself in the flow. The main focus is to lengthen and strengthen the hamstrings. The hamstrings are a big muscle group and can be challenging to work into so keep the breath moving freely and acknowledge your internal dialogue. We start the practice on our back with a reclined hamstring stretch, which is then replicated in the standing sequence. This is an intermediate class with no inversions but you could add them if you wish e.g. standing splits to handstand. Mandala 45 : Find Your Flow

A dynamic open level flow with options to play if you wish. We begin by aligning our attention to the body and the breath; infusing positivity into the moment and inviting a letting go of anything that's not sitting right with us. We move at a steady pace through twists and lunges to begin with to warm up the body, followed by a series of standing poses. Expect to play with a variety of one legged balancing poses including standing splits, standing pigeon pose and half moon. As you move through the various balancing poses notice how the mind focuses and drops in automatically. This is a short practice but a great one to recalibrate.

Vinyasa 45 : Uplift From Within

A variety of different meditation & breath techniques to explore - ranging from 5mins - 20 minutes.

Meditation & Breath : 5 - 20 min practices

A 20 minute meditation to help cultivate a witness mind. In yoga psychology and philosophy there are 4 functions of the mind (Antarkarana) - the witness mind is associated with Buddhi (one of the 4 functions). Buddhi is a pathway to inner wisdom, spiritual discernment and concerns itself with the pursuit of pure truth. When we're responding from our higher mind (Buddhi) our decisions are uncompromising and cut through all illusions. Enjoy! x

Meditation : Witness Mind

In this  meditation we work through each of the 5 Koshas. A Kosha, usually rendered "sheath", is a covering of the Atman, or Self according to Vedantic philosophy. There are five Koshas, and they are often visualised as the layers of an onion. Working with the Koshas helps us cultivate a more sensitive awareness and a greater attunement to self.

Meditation : Koshas

This practice is very freeing as we're sensing into our subtle body. Sitting with and observing sensation. This awakening presence within is the  manifestation of Shakti. We begin by quietening the mind and then expanding our awareness to the entire body letting our inner sensation guide us deeper. If you're called to sit longer then 20 minutes please do so! Some days we are.

Meditation : Sensing In

A great entry point into mindfulness and meditation practices. We bring our awareness to the breath in this practice and invite a counting of the breath. We watch where our mind takes us and gently draw our attention back to the breath and/or counting throughout. When I first started meditating I did this practice for a good few years gradually increasing the time I sat. It's a great practice to begin with and will give you a strong foundation to build on.

Meditation : A Great First Practice

This meditation broadens our perspective and helps us live more vibrantly in the space that surrounds us. We begin by attuning to our body and our internal rhythm. We invite our awareness to expand away from the body into the space around us and beyond. Seeing how far our awareness take us whilst simultaneously holding our internal vibration. This is one of my favourite meditations to do.

Meditation 20 : Expansive Awareness

With our fast pace lives we often over look the space between. It’s easier for us to focus on manifested reality rather than the invisible. In this practice we bring our awareness to the space between each breath and attune to this magnetic place. As you step away from this practice see if you can begin to observe the space between two trees, two people, you and your friend, between your thoughts, between your legs and the list goes on…  over time this place becomes very dynamic.

Meditation 15 : The Space Between

This is a great practice if you want to clear your head and focus your mind. You could do this before a meditation practice or in-between emails to help gain clarity and perspective. We work with a 4 count box breath.

Breath 5 min : 4 Count Breath

I have labelled this a breath practice but it’s also a meditation technique. The intention of the practice is to help you tune into the expansiveness of your awareness. We bring our attention to a centre point in the body and slowly invite our breath to expand out from this place beyond the body. We work with visualisation and sensing into the vastness that we’re apart of. I love doing this practice. It helps me shift my perspective from a narrow focus to a broader and more inclusive perspective.

Breath 10 min : Expansive Breath

A perfect practice to do in preparation for meditation or if you’re struggling to focus and you need to reset. It will get you out of your thinking mind and into your body. We move through slow and steady breaths to begin with followed by a 3 part breath. The practice should help to calm and sooth the nervous system. It's a short but effective practice. I love to do this practice before my asana.

Breath 8 min : Calm & Centring Breathing

An incredibly positive mediation that shifts your awareness into your body and on the breath. This practice infuses positivity into the body and mind and encourages a letting go. It will help uplift you in your day as you shift your focus to the moment at hand. (The res is slightly low in this video but the sound quality is good).
